Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Brazil for a four-day visit, marked by a warm reception from the Indian diaspora. He will be attending the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro and undertaking a state visit. The Indian community welcomed him with traditional dances and folk songs.

Upon his arrival, members of the Indian community expressed their excitement and pride in welcoming the Prime Minister. Vijay Solanki, a member of the Indian community, said they felt "privileged and honoured" to welcome PM Modi. Pooja, who has been living in Brazil for three years, shared her excitement about meeting him. The enthusiastic welcome included chants of "Modi-Modi, Bharat Mata Ki Jai".

The Prime Minister's agenda includes attending the 17th BRICS Leaders' Summit on July 6-7. During the summit, he will engage with other leaders on key global issues, such as peace and security, strengthening multilateralism, responsible use of artificial intelligence, climate action, global health, and economic and financial matters.

A dance troupe welcomed PM Modi in Rio. NDTV spoke with Puja Shah and Gyaneshree Karge, who are members of the welcoming Indian dance troupe. A dance performance based on the theme of Operation Sindoor also took place. Additionally, a Brazilian music group performed devotional music, showcasing India's cultural and spiritual values.

Prior to arriving in Brazil, PM Modi concluded a visit to Argentina, where he met with Argentine President Javier Milei. This visit to Brazil marks a significant moment as PM Modi participates in the BRICS Summit to address critical global issues and strengthen relationships with other nations.
