The Edmonton Oilers have revealed their new alternate jersey for the 2025-26 NHL season. The jersey was unveiled on Saturday, September 20, 2025, during the team's annual Fan Day at Rogers Place.
Design and Inspiration
The new alternate jersey features a light tan base, a first for the Oilers, who have historically used blue, orange, or white. The design aims to honor the Edmonton region and its "Oil Country" identity. The jersey incorporates a blue collar, which the team says is a nod to the blue-collar workers who helped build the region.
Additional design highlights include: * A special patch saluting the work ethic of Oil Country's industries. The shoulder patch features an oil derrick inside a roundel with "OIL COUNTRY" and "EDM 1979" lettering. * "Oilers" written on the chest in a script font. The "s" in "Oilers" is stylized as an oil drop. * An oil drop tag sewn on the back hemline. * "Let's go Oilers" is written on the jersey's collar.
The team says the jersey "blends Fanatics technology and innovation with a classic design that is built for Oil Country, evoking nostalgic brands that were trusted to keep machines running smoothly, in the shop and in the field".
The Oilers will wear blue helmets, gloves, and pants with the alternate jersey, which are distinct from those worn with their primary jerseys. Player surnames on the back of the jersey will appear in blue. Player numbers will be in blue with light-tan and orange trim on the back and upper arms. The sleeves and hem stripes will feature a blue stripe trimmed in orange.
Game Schedule
The Oilers will wear the alternate jersey for seven games during the 2025-26 season. They will debut the jersey at home against the Utah Mammoth on October 28.
The other home games where the Oilers will wear the jersey are:
