Malaika Arora has recently addressed the issue of online age-shaming, particularly the label "buddhiya" (old woman) often used by trolls, and how such remarks can be surprisingly hurtful. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the actress opened up about her feelings and how she copes with the negativity.

Arora, known for her candid and fearless approach to life, admitted that such comments can be triggering. "For me 'buddhiya'. I mean how can you even say something like that to somebody," she expressed. She highlighted the insensitivity behind these remarks, noting that people often only see her strong public persona without realizing the underlying vulnerabilities. "Kabhi Kabhi ye trigger karta hai. because bahaut hi insensitive hai. Because they see only that (brave) persona. They'll see 'khush lag rahi hai' but they don't realise that there are so many things that can actually trigger you, upset you," she explained.

Despite the negativity, Malaika channels the criticism into motivation. She aims to prove her detractors wrong, stating, “I feel that you should take these things as examples where you want to turn around and say 'people go ahead to say what you want to say, I will be better than that'. I will prove to you that I can be better and I can probably do anything and everything under the sun".

Malaika also emphasized the importance of having a strong support system. She considers her son, Arhaan Khan, to be her "biggest supporter". She shared that Arhaan often dismisses the trolls, asking her why she lets their comments affect her. "He's always like 'what's the big deal mom, if somebody's saying that its fine. Why are you letting it affect you or upset you?'," Malaika said. His encouragement helps her to reset her mindset and move forward with positivity.

In related news, Malaika Arora was recently dropped as a witness in Saif Ali Khan's 2012 Taj Hotel case after she failed to support the prosecution. The case involves allegations that Khan threatened a businessman and physically assaulted him.
