Amaal Mallik, currently a contestant on Bigg Boss 19, has recently made some startling revelations about his family, particularly concerning the relationship between his father, Daboo Malik, and his uncle, Anu Malik. Amaal alleged that Anu Malik had betrayed Daboo Malik, creating professional and emotional hardships for his father.
Amaal recounted instances where Anu Malik allegedly undermined Daboo Malik's career. He claimed that whenever Daboo secured a project, Anu would approach the producers and offer to do the same work for a lower price or even for free. According to Amaal, this undercutting cost his father several opportunities and left him feeling helpless.
In one specific instance, Amaal described how Anu Malik called Daboo to a studio for a mock recording. Daboo recorded a song, only to later discover it was an old song already sung by Udit Narayan. Amaal stated that Anu Malik had muted Udit Narayan's voice and made Daboo believe he was giving him a chance. Amaal called Anu Malik "evil heart" and said that his father never recovered from that betrayal.
Amaal also spoke about the emotional toll these events had on Daboo Malik, revealing that his father struggled with depression for over a decade, from the age of 32 to 45. He said that seeing his father in such a state deeply affected him and shaped his own career. Amaal described his early motivation as a form of "revenge" against the treatment his father received. He felt that the industry didn't understand his father's talent and niceness and didn't support him.
Furthermore, Amaal addressed the issue of Daboo Malik's lack of recognition in the industry. Despite working on over 70 films, Daboo is often referred to as "Anu Malik's brother," a perception Amaal finds frustrating. He wants people to recognize his father for his own merits and introduce him as Armaan and Amaal's father, not the other way around.
Amaal also shared how his mother was mistreated when she was pregnant with him. He recalled that she was taunted and made to work excessively while living in a joint family. Amaal stated, "People say, I abuse a lot. I have a womb trauma, boss. Meri mom ko bahut kuch sunaya gaya (my mother was taunted a lot) when she was pregnant with me". He believes these experiences, including his mother's struggles, made him stronger.
Amaal also hinted at his not-so-great relationship with Anu Malik, stating that even after 60 years, Anu Malik has so much passion that he will compete with him. He likes that fire and that he didn't give up.
Amaal's revelations on Bigg Boss 19 have brought renewed focus to the tensions within the Malik family and the challenges faced by Daboo Malik in the music industry. They also highlight the emotional impact of professional rivalry and the importance of family support.
