Amidst swirling rumors of a potential divorce between Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja, Sunita has made a statement regarding their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja's, upcoming Bollywood debut. In a recent interview, Sunita expressed her belief that Yashvardhan's debut project is "better" than Ahaan Panday's recent film, 'Saiyaara'.

The divorce rumors initially surfaced with reports alleging that Sunita Ahuja had filed for divorce in December of last year, citing reasons such as adultery, cruelty, and desertion. However, these rumors were quickly refuted by Govinda's manager and daughter, Tina Ahuja. Tina confirmed that while Sunita had indeed filed for divorce seven months prior, the issues were being resolved. Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, also addressed the speculation, stating that it was "old news" and that "everything is getting settled". He further added that the family was planning to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi festival together, with Sunita handling the preparations. Govinda's lawyer, Lalit Bindal, echoed this sentiment, dismissing the reports as "old news".

Amidst the speculations surrounding her marriage, Sunita Ahuja shared her thoughts on her son Yashvardhan's highly anticipated entry into Bollywood. During an interview with Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita responded to a fan's comment suggesting that Yashvardhan should have been cast in 'Saiyaara', with Sunita replying, "I wish. But usse better picture kar raha hai Yash". This statement implies Sunita's confidence in her son's upcoming project and her belief that it surpasses Ahaan Panday's debut film.

Interestingly, Sunita admitted that she hasn't yet watched 'Saiyaara,' but her son Yashvardhan has seen it twice. She mentioned her intention to watch it, possibly when it becomes available on Netflix. She also extended her best wishes to all newcomers in the industry, expressing her hope for their success.

Yashvardhan Ahuja is reportedly preparing for his Bollywood debut in the Hindi remake of Sai Rajesh's Telugu film 'Baby' (2023).

In the same interview, Sunita also spoke about Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon. She mentioned that Yashvardhan and Rasha share a close bond. Sunita recalled an invitation from Raveena to attend a trial screening of Rasha's film, 'Azaad,' but she was unable to attend due to being in Jaipur for a religious ceremony. However, she later watched the film in the theatre and appreciated it, describing Rasha as a "sweet girl" who reminded her of Raveena's childhood.
