Despite not hosting the usual celebrations, Shilpa's visit to Lalbaugcha Raja demonstrates the deep connection she maintains with the festival and Lord Ganesha. Lalbaugcha Raja is a highly revered Ganpati idol in Mumbai, with a history dating back to 1934. The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, located at Putlabai Chawl, is in charge of the idol. The Kambli family has been taking care of the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganapati idol for over eight decades.

In previous years, Shilpa has been seen celebrating the festival with great enthusiasm, often accompanied by her husband, Raj Kundra, and her family. In 2024, she visited Lalbaugcha Raja with her husband Raj Kundra and mother Sunanda Shetty. They were welcomed by the puja committee members. The couple was also seen carrying a large modak, a sweet offering, to present to Lord Ganesha. The actress has been seen performing aarti, playing the drums, and dancing during the Ganpati visarjan ceremony.
