Maruti Suzuki has launched its new midsize SUV, the Victoris, on September 3, 2025, making it the new flagship model in the Arena dealership network. The Victoris aims to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate. Bookings are now open both online and at Arena dealerships, with an initial payment of ₹11,000.

Design and Dimensions

The Victoris features a sleek and modern design, characterized by a chiseled wraparound stance, LED projector headlamps, and connected LED tail-lamps. It also includes roof rails and aero-cut alloy wheels. Customers have the option to personalize their SUV with the Raffin Package, which adds dark chrome exterior garnishes, skid plate accents, dual-tone seat covers, illuminated sill guards, and premium interior trims.

The SUV is available in 10 exterior colors, including Mystic Green and Eternal Blue. Dimensionally, the Victoris measures 4,360 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. It has 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 tyres.

Interior and Features

The cabin of the Victoris features a black-and-ivory dual-tone theme, with a soft-touch dashboard, textured seat upholstery and piano black inserts. A panoramic sunroof enhances the airy feel of the interior.

The Victoris is equipped with a 26.03 cm fully digital instrument cluster with customizable modes and a 25.65 cm SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has an integrated app store with over 35 apps and receives over-the-air (OTA) updates. Alexa Auto Voice AI is integrated into the system. A segment-first Infinity by Harman 8-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound provides a high-quality audio experience. Other expected features include a wireless charger, automatic climate control, steering wheel-mounted controls, and selectable drive modes. It is anticipated to be a spacious five-seat SUV with a powered tailgate. Additional features such as ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera are also expected.

Safety

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has achieved a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. The SUV is expected to have six airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and a seat-belt reminder system. It will likely feature a 360-degree camera system and a Level-2 ADAS suite to improve driver awareness. The Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) includes features like autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Powertrain

The Victoris offers multiple powertrain options, including a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol engine, and a CNG powertrain. The CNG version features a concealed tank, enabling a fuel efficiency of 28 km/kg. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and an e-CVT for the hybrid variants. All-wheel drive (AWD) will be available in select variants.

Pricing and Positioning

The Victoris is positioned between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara in Maruti Suzuki's lineup and will be sold through the Arena outlets. Prices are expected to range between ₹10 lakh and ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). The base variant is expected to be priced slightly higher than the Brezza but lower than the Grand Vitara. The Victoris is expected to be a more affordable alternative to the Grand Vitara.
