The annual Apple Event held on September 9, 2025, unveiled the iPhone 17 lineup, featuring the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The event, dubbed "Awe Dropping," showcased upgrades such as enhanced displays, improved cameras, and fresh color options.

For the Indian market, the iPhone 17 is expected to start at approximately ₹79,900, while the iPhone 17 Air may be priced around ₹99,990. The iPhone 17 Pro could cost around ₹1,24,900, and the high-end iPhone 17 Pro Max might exceed ₹1,64,900. These prices reflect Apple's strategy to maintain its premium smartphone positioning in India.

The iPhone 17 base model, with 128GB storage, is anticipated to range from ₹79,990 to ₹84,999. It features a 6.3-inch 120Hz display and a 24MP front camera, powered by the new A19 chip. The iPhone 17 Air, boasting a slim design and 256GB storage, may cost between ₹99,000 and ₹1,05,000, equipped with a 6.6-inch display and a 48MP rear camera. The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to range from ₹1,24,990 to ₹1,34,999, featuring an aluminum frame, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a battery with 16% greater capacity.

Pre-orders in India are expected to begin on September 12, with deliveries starting from September 19. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumored to have dimensions of approximately 159.9 x 76.7 x 7.3 mm, featuring a 6.9-inch display with thinner bezels and a more durable build.

Alongside the iPhone 17 series, Apple also launched the Apple Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3. The Apple Watch SE 3 was introduced with an always-on display at $249. The AirPods Pro 3 will be available in India for ₹25,900.

The iPhone 17 series will come with a base storage of 256GB. The standard iPhone 17 is rumored to retain its $799 price point, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is also expected to hold steady at $1,199. The iPhone 17 Pro could see a $100 price increase to $1,099, likely due to the shift to a 256GB base storage option. The new iPhone 17 Air is projected to be priced at $949.
