The Kannada film industry is abuzz with excitement as Kichcha Sudeepa joins the cast of "KD: The Devil," starring Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt. The makers of the film, KVN Productions, officially announced the news on social media, stating, "The wait is over! #KicchaSudeep officially enters the world of #KD".

"KD: The Devil" is an action drama directed by Prem and produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions. The film features Dhruva Sarja in the lead role as Kaalidasa "K.D.". Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist, Dhak Deva. The film also stars Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Reeshma Nanaiah in key roles. Nora Fatehi will also be seen in a special dance number.

Kichcha Sudeepa's role in the movie is said to be a guest appearance. While details about his character are currently under wraps, sources indicate that he is expected to join the shoot soon. This marks Sudeepa's first collaboration with KVN Productions and a reunion with director Prem, with whom he previously worked on "The Villain," which also starred Shivarajkumar. Earlier, there were rumors of Shivarajkumar making a special appearance in "KD: The Devil," but Sudeep was ultimately chosen for the role.

The addition of Sudeepa to the cast further elevates the film's star power. The film is set against the backdrop of old Bengaluru during the 1970s and 80s and is inspired by real-life events. "KD: The Devil" is billed as a tale that blends intense action with emotional depth.

The teaser for "KD: The Devil" was launched in Mumbai on July 10, 2025, and it offers a glimpse into the violent world of the film. The teaser also introduces other characters, including Shilpa Shetty as Satyavati, Ramesh Aravind as Dharma, and V. Ravichandran.

Arjun Janya is composing the music for the film, while William David is handling the cinematography. The film was initially scheduled to release on September 4, 2025, but has been postponed. The new release date is yet to be announced.

Sudeepa was last seen in the lead role in the action thriller "Max". He will also be seen in films like "Billa Ranga Baasha" and "MARK". Dhruva Sarja, on the other hand, is looking for a strong comeback after his previous film, "Martin," failed to impress audiences.
