Sanjay Kapoor has recently reflected on his relationship with Tabu during the filming of his debut movie, "Prem". In a candid interview back in 2014, Kapoor revealed that he and Tabu were dating while shooting the film, but by the end of the production, they "were not talking to each other".

"Prem," released in 1995, was a significant film for Kapoor as it marked his entry into Bollywood. Directed by the late Satish Kaushik, the movie had a long and troubled production. Kapoor was 31 years old when "Prem" finally hit theaters, leading him to joke that he was the "oldest newcomer".

According to reports, Sanjay Kapoor had a crush on Tabu while filming "Prem". The two were often seen together in public, fueling speculation about their relationship. Despite the personal and professional challenges during the making of "Prem," Kapoor's career eventually took off. Shortly after "Prem's" release, he starred in "Raja" with Madhuri Dixit, which became a box office success.

Both Sanjay Kapoor and Tabu have moved on since their brief romance.
