Kartik Aaryan Celebrates GST 2.0 Launch with Ice Cream: A Sweet Victory Deserves a Treat, Friends!

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is celebrating the rollout of Goods and Services Tax (GST) 2.0 in his own unique style. The actor took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his sister, Kritika Tiwari, enjoying ice cream. In the photo, both are smiling and holding gelato cones. Kartik captioned the image, "GST 2.0 ka celebration toh banta hai Mitro," which translates to "A celebration for GST 2.0 is a must, friends!".

The implementation of next-generation GST was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 21, 2025. The reforms went into effect on Monday, September 22, coinciding with the first day of Navratri. PM Modi described the reforms as the beginning of a "GST Savings Festival" that will directly benefit the poor, middle class, women, small businesses, and the youth. He stated that the new GST structure would boost India's economic growth, increase savings, and make it easier for people to buy their preferred items.

PM Modi recalled the challenges of the pre-2017 tax system, which was entangled with levies like excise, VAT, and octroi. The original GST reform, launched in 2017, was a historic step toward freeing the nation from these inefficiencies and realizing the dream of "One Nation, One Tax". GST 2.0 aims to further improve the system.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan hailed the rollout of GST 2.0 as an auspicious day for the Indian economy. He thanked PM Modi for implementing the reforms, which are expected to simplify the tax system, reduce rates, and make essential items more affordable. Leaders have emphasized the benefits of the reforms for farmers, MSMEs, local manufacturing, consumers, and the aviation sector, ultimately boosting India's growth. Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu stated that GST 2.0 will empower the youth, farmers, middle-class families, shopkeepers, traders, MSMEs and startups to save more and grow more.

Kartik Aaryan's celebratory ice cream post has gone viral on social media, with fans praising his lighthearted take on the new tax system.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film, 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', which is scheduled to release on December 31.
