Chelsea continued their dominant start to the Women's Super League (WSL) season with a convincing 4-0 victory over West Ham. The defending champions are the only team in the WSL to maintain a perfect record after four games. The win leaves West Ham at the bottom of the table without any points.
Chelsea's Aggie Beever-Jones continued her impressive scoring form, opening the scoring with a superb free-kick. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd quickly added a second, followed by a stunning strike from Erin Cuthbert. West Ham's woes were compounded when Inès Belloumou was shown a straight red card for pulling Alyssa Thompson's hair. Wieke Kaptein completed the rout, securing a comfortable win for the Blues.
Michelle Agyemang, who had a successful Euro 2025 with England, scored her first WSL goal of the season, securing a 1-0 victory for Brighton against Everton. The 19-year-old's close-range finish in the first half proved to be the difference between the two sides, giving Brighton their second consecutive league win. The goal came after a cross from Fran Kirby, with Rosa Kafaji providing the knockdown for Agyemang to finish. Brighton managed to hold on for the win despite a late threat from their former player Katie Robinson, who came on as a substitute for Everton. The victory was hard-earned, with Brighton having to defend strongly in the second half.
Tottenham Hotspur secured their third win of the season with a 2-1 victory away at Leicester City. Cathinka Tandberg and Olivia Holdt put Tottenham in control before Sam Tierney pulled one back for the Foxes. Manchester City also recorded a win, defeating London City Lionesses 4-1. Khadija Shaw scored two second-half penalties to seal the victory for City.
