India defeated Pakistan in a thrilling final to clinch the Asia Cup 2025 title, securing their ninth Asia Cup victory. The match, held at the Dubai International Stadium, saw India win by five wickets.

Pakistan, after being put in to bat, were bowled out for a modest 146 in 19.1 overs. Their innings began strongly with an 84-run opening stand between Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35). However, a dramatic collapse saw them lose their last nine wickets for just 33 runs. Kuldeep Yadav spearheaded India's bowling attack, taking 4 wickets for 30 runs. He was well supported by Varun Chakaravarthy (2/30), Axar Patel (2/26), and Jasprit Bumrah (2/25).

India's chase of 147 experienced early setbacks, slumping to 20/3 within the first four overs. Faheem Ashraf and Shaheen Afridi troubled the Indian top order. However, Tilak Varma, who remained unbeaten on 69 off 53 balls, and Sanju Samson (24) steadied the innings with a 57-run partnership. After Samson's dismissal, Shivam Dube contributed a quick 33 off 22, adding a crucial 60-run partnership with Varma. India chased the target of 147 with two balls to spare. Tilak Varma sealed the victory in style, hitting a six in the final over.

Tilak Varma was the hero of the match with his unbeaten 69. Kuldeep Yadav's efforts with the ball were also crucial in restricting Pakistan. India remained undefeated throughout the tournament.
