The trailer for the highly anticipated film The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas and Sanjay Dutt, has been released, offering a glimpse into a world of horror, comedy, and supernatural intrigue. Directed by Maruthi, this Telugu-language film promises a unique blend of genres, with Prabhas taking on the role of a charismatic hero battling evil spirits. The Raja Saab is scheduled to be released on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Sankranti festival.

The trailer introduces Prabhas seemingly under hypnosis, with the Bollywood song "Koi Yahan Nache Nache" playing in the background as he appears to travel back to a kingdom in the past. The visuals quickly turn eerie, featuring a haunted house, jump scares, and supernatural activities. Sanjay Dutt is introduced as an exorcist, psychiatrist, and hypnotist. The trailer offers a mix of lighter moments, showcasing the female leads, and intense scenes where Prabhas confronts Sanjay Dutt's character, even making a Star Wars reference. Prabhas is also shown in an older avatar, hinted to be his evil grandfather.

The Raja Saab revolves around a young man who seeks to acquire his ancestral mansion to ease a financial crisis. However, he soon discovers that the property is haunted by a vengeful spirit. Prabhas reportedly plays dual roles, portraying both the owner of the mansion and a ghostly ancestor. The film is expected to have flashback episodes and may draw inspiration from Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi.

The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in lead roles. Other cast members include Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, and more.

The Raja Saab is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla, and Ishan Saksena under the People Media Factory banner. The film's music is composed by Thaman S, with Karthik Palani handling the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao as the editor.

Prabhas has several other upcoming films, including Fauji, Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, and Salaar Part 2. Fauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is a historical action-drama set before India's independence, with Prabhas playing a soldier. He is also expected to appear in Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, the sequel to Salaar, and Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
