Dolly Parton, the iconic 79-year-old country music legend, has announced the postponement of her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to health challenges. The residency, titled "Dolly: Live in Las Vegas," was scheduled to take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 4 to December 13, 2025. These dates have now been moved to September 2026.

Parton shared the news with her fans via a heartfelt message on social media. In her statement, she explained that she has "been dealing with some health challenges" and that her doctors have advised her to undergo a "few procedures". While she did not disclose specific details about the procedures, she lightheartedly remarked, "As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it's not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!".

The postponement marks a delay in Parton's first extended run of concerts in Las Vegas in 32 years. Parton emphasized that she wants to be at her best for her fans, stating that she needs time to rehearse and put together the show that her audience deserves. "You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you," she wrote.

Despite the setback, Parton assured her fans that she is not retiring. "Don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet," she declared. She added that she believes she is being told to slow down so she can be ready for more adventures in the future. While she will continue to work on her projects from Nashville, she needs a little time to get "show ready".

Fans who have already purchased tickets for the December 2025 shows will be able to use them for the rescheduled dates in September 2026. Refunds will also be available for those who are unable to attend the new dates.

Earlier this month, Parton had to miss the announcement of a new ride at her Dollywood theme park in Tennessee due to a kidney stone that caused an infection. At the time, she explained in a video message that her doctor advised her against traveling.

In addition to her upcoming residency, Parton has been actively involved in numerous projects. She is set to release a new book, "Star of the Show: My Life on Stage," on November 11. A stage musical inspired by her life story is also expected to premiere on Broadway in 2026.
