Mumbai, Oct 8 (IANS) – Bobby Deol, celebrating 30 years in Bollywood, marked this milestone by spending a heartwarming afternoon with underprivileged children in Mumbai. The actor, who debuted in 1995 with the film Barsaat, chose to commemorate his journey in a meaningful way, bringing joy and encouragement to the children.

The celebration was filled with energetic performances by the children, including patriotic songs like "Rang De Basanti Chola" and a rendition of Deol's hit song "Soldier Soldier" from the 1998 film Soldier. Moved by their efforts, Deol cheered them on, offering smiles and words of encouragement. He emphasized the importance of education, discipline, and hard work, advising the children to stay focused on their studies.

"Meeting these children filled me with joy and gratitude," Deol shared, expressing how touched he was by the experience. One of the children excitedly shared, "Bobby sir really enjoyed our dance. He told us to study sincerely — we're all so happy!". The event created a memorable experience for everyone involved, providing an uplifting tribute for the actor and an unforgettable moment for the children.

Deol's journey in Bollywood has been a mix of highs and lows. After his initial success with films like Gupt, Kareeb, Soldier, Badal, Bichhoo, Humraaz, and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, he faced a period of commercial failures in the 2000s. Although he had brief successes in ensemble films like Apne, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Housefull 4, his career saw a resurgence with recent projects like Class of '83, Aashram, Love Hostel, Animal, and The Ba*ds of Bollywood.

To mark his 30th anniversary in the film industry, Deol shared a tribute video on social media, featuring posters from his past films and a candid interview reflecting on how Animal redefined his career. "30 years of many emotions on and off screen … all made worthwhile by your love. That fire still burns, and I'm just getting started!" he wrote, expressing his gratitude to his fans.

Colleagues and fans have shown their support and appreciation for Deol's work. Preity Zinta congratulated him, calling him "Lord Bobby," while Esha Deol shared words of encouragement on her Instagram.

Looking ahead, Bobby Deol has several projects in the pipeline, including Anurag Kashyap's Bandar (Monkey In A Cage), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and Alpha, a spy thriller starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. He is also set to appear in the political action thriller Jana Nayagan.
