Shrutika Arjun, famed for her appearance on Bigg Boss 18, has recently shared an emotional update with her fans, revealing that she underwent a major surgery. The actress, who is also known for winning Cooku with Comali Season 3, posted a heartfelt video from her hospital bed on Instagram, reflecting on a challenging year and expressing gratitude for the support she has received.
In her Instagram post on October 9, 2025, Shrutika reflected on how, exactly a year prior, she was in the Bigg Boss house, experiencing one of the most unforgettable chapters of her life. "It was a journey that tested my strength, patience, and emotions in ways I never imagined," she wrote. This year, however, she found herself in a different setting, surrounded by doctors and nurses, focusing on healing. She described the surgery as a "life-changing experience" that reminded her of "the power of grace and faith".
Shrutika also shared that she had been silently battling a health complication for some time, even while working. "Only God and my close ones knew what I was going through. Yet, He gave me the strength to smile, perform, and keep going," she wrote.
The actress expressed immense gratitude to Dr. Priya Lakshmanan from Aakash Hospital, TVT, whom she called "an unbelievably talented surgeon". She also appreciated the hospital staff, noting that they cared for her and her family, making the hospital feel like home.
Notably, this isn't the first time Shrutika has faced a serious health scare. Back in July 2025, she revealed a harrowing experience following a COVID-19 vaccination, describing it as "worse than childbirth". She recounted severe suffering and a sensation of paralysis.
Shrutika Arjun began her career in the entertainment industry in the early 2000s with Tamil films. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the spotlight, balancing her acting career with entrepreneurship. In 2018, she founded an Ayurvedic skin brand named Haappy Herbs. In 2024, she participated in Bigg Boss 18, becoming the first Tamil contestant on the Hindi reality series.
