Earlier in the day, India's innings was built around contributions from Smriti Mandhana (80) and Pratika Rawal (75), who put up the biggest opening partnership against Australia. Annabel Sutherland took five wickets for Australia, restricting India to 330.

The Indian bowlers initially struggled to contain Healy, who scored freely. However, they fought back with N Shree Charani, Amanjot Kaur and Deepti Sharma taking crucial wickets in the death overs. Sneh Rana took a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Healy, giving India a glimmer of hope.

Despite the late wickets, Perry ensured that Australia reached the target, completing a memorable victory. The previous highest successful run chase in women's ODI was Sri Lanka getting past 302 against South Africa in 2024.
