Mumbai, October 15, 2025 – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turned showstopper for celebrated designer Vikram Phadnis on October 14, 2025, setting the ramp ablaze at the designer's 35-year anniversary celebration in Mumbai. The event, a grand showcase of Phadnis's collection titled "Vintage India," marked a significant milestone for the designer and a rare runway appearance for the actor.
Khan's presence was met with thunderous applause and cheers as he exuded confidence and charisma. He donned a traditional black sherwani, intricately embroidered with gold and maroon floral motifs, paired with a black kurta and pajama. The outfit, reflecting Phadnis's signature opulent detailing, showcased a royal and understated elegance. Khan completed the look with black leather shoes and his iconic slicked-back hairstyle.
The "Vintage India" collection featured over a hundred models, but Salman's regal look and composed walk were a highlight of the evening. The event was attended by numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Sonakshi Sinha, Sushmita Sen, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, and many others. Khan was seen interacting warmly with actors like Sushmita Sen and Bipasha Basu, sharing hugs and candid moments. Vikram Phadnis, known for his traditional clothing designs, transitioned from costume designing to filmmaking. He directed the Marathi film "Hrudayantar" in 2017 and "Smile Please" in 2019 and intends to balance both fashion and filmmaking going forward.
