Raashii Khanna Discusses Her Return to Telugu Cinema With Telusu Kada and Its Significance.

Raashii Khanna is marking her return to Telugu cinema after a three-year absence with the upcoming romantic drama, Telusu Kada. In a recent interview, Khanna expressed her excitement about her "homecoming" and the unique elements of the film.

Telusu Kada, directed by debutante Neeraja Kona, features Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Srinidhi Shetty in leading roles. The movie is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner and is scheduled for a grand release on October 17, 2025.

Khanna shared her initial reaction to the script, stating she thoroughly enjoyed the narration. She praised Kona for crafting each character with depth and distinct layers, which presented a challenge to balance them. Khanna, who has starred in numerous love stories, emphasized that Telusu Kada stands out with a never-before-attempted element, urging audiences to experience it on the big screen.

Describing the film as "emotionally violent," Khanna explained that Telusu Kada will stir up emotions and potentially trigger viewers, but it cannot be ignored. She believes the film will spark conversations about boundaries, relationships, and love.

Khanna also spoke about working with Siddhu Jonnalagadda, commending his seriousness and solid grip on his craft. She found the experience rewarding. She was initially surprised by the concept of the film and admired Neeraja Kona's knowledge and script. She also enjoyed working with Srinidhi Shetty and producer TG Vishwa Prasad.

Raashii Khanna plays Anjali in Telusu Kada. She said that playing Anjali took an emotional toll, and she even had to pause shooting during the climax to process her character's motivations. Despite any questions she had, Khanna respects Anjali and relates to her strong will and ability to prioritize herself.

Addressing the portrayal of Siddhu Jonnalagadda's character, Varun, as potentially "toxic" in the trailer, Khanna clarified that he is simply a "blatantly honest guy". She highlighted the film's exploration of honesty in relationships and how it can be a "tough pill to swallow".

Khanna acknowledged her moral responsibility as an actor, especially in India, where viewers often emulate characters. She hopes that Telusu Kada will resonate with audiences and encourage meaningful discussions about relationships and personal boundaries.

Beyond Telusu Kada, Raashii Khanna has several other projects in the pipeline. These include Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan, a Hindi film titled Talaakhon Mein Ek with Vikrant Massey, and two Hindi films 120 Bahadur, opposite Farhan Akhtar and Bridge starring R. Madhavan. She is also filming for an untitled Hindi web series where she plays the lead.
