On October 16, 2025, Esha Deol celebrated her mother Hema Malini's 77th birthday with a heartwarming social media post. The Bollywood actress shared two adorable photos with her mother, along with a loving message referring to Hema Malini as her "Queen" and the "Dream Girl of the nation".

In the photos shared on Instagram, Hema Malini is seen wearing a saree, complemented by gold jewelry. Esha is dressed in a pink and white kurti set. The first picture captures the mother-daughter duo posing with radiant smiles, while the second shows Esha affectionately kissing her mother on the cheek. "Happy birthday to my Queen my mamma & The Dream Girl of the nation …. We love you (sic)," Esha wrote as the caption.

Hema Malini, a prominent figure in Indian cinema and also a politician, began her acting career in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam. Her Bollywood debut was in 1968 with Sapno Saudagar. She gained the title of "Dream Girl" after starring in the 1977 film of the same name. Her career spans over six decades, during which she has acted in numerous films, including Seeta Aur Geeta, Tere Mere Sapne, Babul Ki Galiyaan, Haath Ki Safai, Dharmatma, Dillagi, and Sholay. Hema Malini was last seen in the 2020 film Shimla Mirchi, a romantic drama directed by Ramesh Sippy, alongside Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh.

Hema Malini met her husband, Dharmendra, on the set of Tum Haseen Main Jawaan in 1970, which marked the beginning of their love story. They married in 1980 and have two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol Vohra.

Esha Deol was last seen on screen in the film Tumko Meri Kasam, directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film is inspired by the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, and features Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, and Adah Sharma.
