The team secured their second successive World Cup title, defeating Chinese Taipei 35-28 in a thrilling final match.

Chinese Taipei also displayed remarkable performance, advancing to the final after an unbeaten run in their group stage and a 25-18 victory against hosts Bangladesh in the semi-final.
