Dehradun, Uttarakhand – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has reaffirmed the Uttarakhand government's unwavering commitment to protecting the state's demography and cultural values. Speaking at a public gathering during his visit to the ancient Shiva temple in Lakhamandal, Dhami emphasized the importance of preserving the unique identity of "Devbhoomi".

Dhami highlighted several initiatives undertaken by his government to achieve this goal. He stated that strict measures have been implemented against activities such as "land jihad," "love jihad," and forced religious conversions. These measures are aimed at preventing any attempts to alter the demographic balance of the state.

The Chief Minister also addressed the issue of illegal migration and warned officials against facilitating documents for ineligible migrants. He alleged that deliberate attempts have been made to change the demography in various parts of the state and asserted that officials responsible for issuing documents to illegal settlers will be held accountable. Dhami has instructed district magistrates to identify areas undergoing demographic changes and investigate the reasons behind them.

To further strengthen the monitoring process, Dhami's government has decided to digitalize the verification process for people residing in the state who have come from other parts of the country. He has directed the Home Department to develop a dedicated mobile application to streamline and enhance this process. The app aims to make the verification process more effective and prevent the misuse of identity documentation.

In addition to safeguarding the state's demography, Chief Minister Dhami stressed the importance of preserving Uttarakhand's rich cultural heritage. He noted that the state government is actively working towards promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of "Devbhoomi," drawing inspiration from projects like the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain.

Dhami announced that a special master plan worth Rs 120 crore is being prepared for the Hanol Temple, a famous religious site in the region. The plan aims to preserve and develop this spiritual and historical site, contributing to the cultural rejuvenation of Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government has also launched the Manas Khand Mandir Mala Mission, an initiative to promote ancient temples in the Kumaon region. This mission seeks to boost religious tourism by improving infrastructure and amenities around these historic temples.

Furthermore, the government is focusing on sustainable tourism initiatives to encourage local communities to preserve their traditions and environment. This includes promoting homestays in villages to showcase traditional architecture and culinary practices.

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring equal rights and justice for all. He highlighted the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state, a move aimed at ensuring parity among communities in matters of personal law.

Dhami also mentioned "Operation Kalanemi," an ongoing initiative against individuals who deceive the public in the name of Sanatan Dharma. He stated that action has been taken against such individuals who defame the Hindu religion.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is dedicated to the all-round development of Uttarakhand. He highlighted the transparent selection process for government jobs, with over 26,000 youth being selected in the past four and a half years.

By implementing strict laws, promoting cultural preservation, and ensuring transparent governance, the Uttarakhand government aims to safeguard the demography and cultural values of the state, ensuring a bright future for its residents.
