Ahaan Panday, fresh off the success of his debut film Saiyaara, is set to star in an upcoming action film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The yet-to-be-titled project is generating considerable buzz as it promises to showcase a new side of Panday, blending high-octane action with gripping drama and intense romance.

Zafar, known for his blockbuster films such as Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, was reportedly impressed by Panday's screen presence and ability to handle emotional and dramatic sequences in Saiyaara. Sources suggest that Chopra recommended Panday for the role, viewing him as a fresh face that would add an element of surprise for the audience. The filmmakers believe that Panday's relative underexposure, combined with the success of Saiyaara, will heighten anticipation for his next project.

According to reports, the film will commence shooting in early 2026, with filming locations set across England, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds. Zafar is expected to visit the United Kingdom in December for a month-long scouting trip before the film goes into production in February.

Panday has already begun intense combat training to prepare for the action-oriented role. The film is intended to present Panday in a completely transformed avatar, with Sharvari reportedly joining him as the female lead.

The collaboration also marks another significant partnership between Ali Abbas Zafar and Aditya Chopra, who have previously delivered hits such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai. Sources indicate that Zafar aims to revisit the genre that has garnered him significant acclaim, highlighting the drama and emotional depth within the action.
