Veteran filmmaker Prakash Jha is set to return to acting with the upcoming film "Bhaag Mohabbat," directed by Amitabh Parashar. The film, which also stars Nikeet Dhillon and Mukesh Tiwari, is scheduled to commence shooting in March 2026, with a recce already completed in Dehradun.
Jha, known for his work as a director, producer, and screenwriter in socio-political films such as "Gangaajal" and "Raajneeti", has also acted in a few projects, including "Saand Ki Aankh". "Bhaag Mohabbat" marks a significant return to acting for him.
Director Amitabh Parashar is working with a tight budget for the film. The film's team has completed location scouting in Dehradun, where a significant portion of the movie will be filmed. "Bhaag Mohabbat" promises to be an intriguing project with a blend of seasoned and fresh talent.
Prakash Jha's career spans over two decades, with a filmography boasting more than 25 documentaries, 13 feature films, and several television series. His notable works include "Damul," which addressed the issue of bonded labor, and "Loknayak," a biopic on Jayaprakash Narayan. He also owns the P&M Mall in Patna and the P&M Hi-Tech City Centre Mall in Jamshedpur.
