Prithviraj Sukumaran and Tovino Thomas: Pallichattambi Film Buzz Hints at a Possible Cameo Appearance

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran is reportedly set to make a cameo appearance in Tovino Thomas' upcoming action-drama, "Pallichattambi". According to online reports, Prithviraj has joined the shoot of the film and has approximately three days of shooting remaining.

The news has generated considerable excitement among fans, especially since Prithviraj and Tovino were last seen together in "L2: Empuraan," a film directed by Prithviraj himself. Their renewed association in "Pallichattambi" has sparked anticipation for their on-screen chemistry.

While details about Prithviraj's role are currently under wraps, "Pallichattambi" is directed by Dijo Jose Antony, who previously collaborated with Prithviraj on the hit film "Jana Gana Mana". The film stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role, with Kayadu Lohar as the co-lead, marking a significant venture for her in Malayalam cinema. The cast also includes Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, TG Ravi, and Prashanth Alexander.

Director Dijo Jose Antony has praised Kayadu Lohar, stating that she completed her portions of the film in February 2025. He described her as "a performer, a powerhouse, and the heart of our story," adding that she brought "soul, laughter, and magic to every frame" and made the journey unforgettable. He also mentioned that her role forms the emotional core of the story.

"Pallichattambi" is produced by Noufal and Brijesh under the banner of World Wide Films, with Charan, Chanukya, Chaithanya, and Tanseer co-producing under C Cube Bro Entertainments. The film's screenplay is written by TS Suresh Babu. Divakar Mani is the cinematographer, Jakes Bejoy is the music director, and Sreejith Sarang is the editor.

Before commencing his work on "Pallichattambi", Prithviraj recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming Bollywood project, "Daayra," directed by Meghna Gulzar, where he plays a police officer alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. Prithviraj shared an update on social media with a picture alongside his co-star and director, also announcing his Hindi project after "Sarzameen".

Prithviraj is expected to appear next in the political heist actioner "I, Nobody," directed by Nissam Basheer, slated for a summer 2026 release. He will also be seen in "Khalifa," an action entertainer directed by Vysakh, during Onam next year, portraying a gold smuggler with Mohanlal in a cameo role. Additionally, Prithviraj is set to play the main antagonist in Mahesh Babu's upcoming film "Varanasi," directed by SS Rajamouli.

"Pallichattambi" is anticipated to be Dijo Jose Antony's comeback film after "Malayalee From India," and is said to be an action-based period drama set in the 1950s and 60s. The film was formally launched in February 2025, six years after its initial announcement.
