Harshvardhan Rane is experiencing a new wave of recognition with his film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, finding a second life on OTT platforms after a successful theatrical run. The romantic drama, directed by Milap Zaveri, stars Rane alongside Sonam Bajwa.

Released in theaters on October 21, 2025, coinciding with Diwali, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat initially received mixed reviews from critics. Despite the critical response, the film became a commercial success, grossing over ₹110 crore worldwide and emerging as the 12th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. The film depicts the story of an influential politician, Vikramaditya, who becomes obsessed with a film actress, Adaa.

Now, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is available for streaming on ZEE5 in Hindi with English subtitles. The OTT release provides an opportunity for viewers who missed the theatrical experience to watch the film. Harshvardhan Rane expressed his thoughts on films releasing on OTT platforms, stating that good cinema always invites repeat viewing regardless of the medium. He believes that when a film connects emotionally, viewers return to it, making the platform secondary to the content itself. He emphasized how OTT bridges the gap for those who missed the theatrical run, ensuring wider reach and accessibility.

Rane shared his perspective on how digital platforms allow films to rediscover audiences long after their theatrical release. He stated, "Good films always merit repeat viewing. People like revisiting films which they have enjoyed because they like reliving the feeling it evoked in them while watching it".

The actor also reflected on his personal journey, expressing gratitude and confidence. He acknowledged the support he has received and hopes that his films continue to receive the same acceptance and love.

Before its release, Harshvardhan had revealed that he was in the "final schedule" of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and called the last two schedules a meditative filmmaking experience. He will also be seen in a film by Omung Kumar.

Looking ahead, Rane has several projects in the pipeline. He has been signed as the lead in Shootout At Dubai, produced by Ekta Kapoor, with Netflix acquiring the digital rights. Producer Anshul Garg confirmed that he signed Rane for another film before Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was released, an action drama scheduled to begin filming in January 2026. Rane is also slated to appear in Silaa in 2026 and Sanam Teri Kasam 2 in 2025.
