Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in India today, January 6, 2026. The launch event, which also included the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, was livestreamed on Xiaomi's official YouTube channel. This new mid-range contender aims to compete with devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Realme P4 Pro.
The Redmi Note 15 5G boasts a sleek design, measuring just 7.35mm in thickness. The phone features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2392x1080 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also boasts up to 3200 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and Hydro Touch 2.0 technology for improved touch response, even with wet hands. It has also received TÜV Triple Eye Care certification for eye protection. The device will be available in Black, Blue and Purple. The Redmi Note 15 5G also comes with an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD. The device runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. Xiaomi commits to providing 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 15 5G features a 108MP primary camera with OIS and 4K video recording support. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Redmi Note 15 5G packs a 5,520mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. Xiaomi claims the phone can last up to 1.6 days on a single charge with up to 5 years of battery life.
The Redmi Note 15 5G is expected to be priced around ₹20,000 in India.
