Indian Innovation Shines at CES: Key Executive Highlights Growing Influence and Breakthroughs in Global Tech Stage

Las Vegas, NV - The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 is currently underway, and a noticeable trend is the increasing presence and impact of Indian companies and startups on the global technology stage. This year's event, which kicked off on January 6th and will continue through January 9th, features over 4,100 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations across various tech sectors.

John Kelley, Vice President and Show Director for CES, has acknowledged the growing Indian participation and expressed enthusiasm for continued engagement in the coming years. "The Indian presence continues to grow at CES," Kelley stated during a press conference. "I think you're starting to see more and more Indian startups show up and participate at CES. And of course, we welcome broad Indian participation in the years to come".

Bangalore-based Ultrahuman, a technology and wearables company, was specifically mentioned by Kelley as an exciting addition to this year's show. Ultrahuman offers products such as sleep-tracking wearables, continuous glucose monitoring platforms, and preventive blood testing platforms.

The rise in Indian participation at CES reflects India's growing importance as a technology hub and its increasing focus on innovation and design. Industry data indicates a significant increase of 340% in Indian startup participation at CES 2026 since 2020. This surge is partly attributed to the Indian government's support for the electronic manufacturing industry, including initiatives like the Electronic Components Manufacturing Support Plan (ECMS).

PYIE, an Indian innovation ecosystem backed by Intex, is making its global debut at CES 2026, showcasing its focus on human-centered design and technological prowess. PYIE's methodology encompasses ideation, prototyping, market validation, and scaling, all grounded in design thinking principles. They have also entered into a 10-year exclusive partnership with Keychron to support market expansion, localization, and service delivery in India.

Several Indian companies are showcasing their solutions at CES 2026, including Noise, a smartwatch company and the largest seller of smartwatches in India, and EMS companies like SRK Techtronics and Brandworks. These companies are presenting a diverse range of technologies, from consumer electronics to engineering solutions.

The increasing presence of Indian companies at CES is also strategically important as global enterprises are recognizing India as a technology powerhouse. They seek partners who understand both Western market demands and Eastern innovation agility. Furthermore, the innovations stemming from India's constrained resources, particularly in healthcare, offer valuable lessons for global markets seeking efficient and effective solutions.

CES 2026 has attracted over 130,000 attendees, including decision-makers from Fortune 500 companies, venture capitalists, and media outlets worldwide. With over 150 participating countries and 40% of attendees and exhibits coming from outside the United States, CES provides unparalleled exposure for tech entities. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) produces the event, and it serves as a platform for global companies, startups, industry executives, and government leaders to experience the next generation of technology.
