The highly anticipated third season of "Love Island: All Stars" has been delayed indefinitely after wildfires in South Africa forced the evacuation of the villa and suspension of production. The reality dating show, hosted by Maya Jama, was scheduled to premiere in the UK on Monday, January 12, 2026, and in the US on Peacock on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. However, with flames approaching the set, ITV, the show's broadcaster, made the decision to prioritize the health and safety of the contestants and crew.
ITV released a statement confirming the delay, stating, "Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed". The network further explained that an assessment of the location site led to the conclusion that filming needed to be postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in the area.
The "Love Island" villa is located approximately an hour from Cape Town, in a region of South Africa that has been battling several wildfires. Fueled by extreme heat, unpredictable winds, and extended dry weather, the fires have spread rapidly through parts of the Western and Eastern Cape. Evacuations have been carried out in multiple areas, including Zwartenbosch, Oyster Bay Road, the Kromme River, and Riverside in the Eastern Cape, with additional fires reported in Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. The South African Air Force is assisting authorities in combating the blazes.
The sudden postponement has left fans and contestants in suspense. The "All Stars" season was set to feature a cast of returning Islanders from previous seasons, including Whitney Adebayo, Millie Court, Belle Hassan, Helena Ford, Jess Harding, Leanne Amaning, Ciaran Davies, Jack Keating, Sean Stone, Tommy Bradley, Charlie Frederick, and Shaq Muhammad. Among the contestants were former winners Jess Harding and Millie Court, as well as Jack Keating, son of singer Ronan Keating.
Production has not yet announced a revised filming or premiere date. Updates are expected as soon as conditions in the region improve. In the meantime, previous seasons of "Love Island U.K." are available on Hulu, along with seasons of "Love Island Australia".
