Despite a generally weak trend in the Indian stock market, real estate development company Omaxe saw its share price jump by more than 15% on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

During Tuesday's market session, Omaxe shares hit an intraday high of ₹87, marking a surge of over 19% within the day. The intraday low reached ₹72.85 during the early trading session. As of 2:23 p.m. (IST) on Tuesday, Omaxe share price was trading 14.07% higher at ₹82.80, compared to the previous closing price of ₹72.59.

The surge in share price follows the company's announcement of plans to invest ₹500 crore in a real estate project, according to an exchange filing.

In other news from June 16, 2025, Omaxe shares also experienced a surge, climbing as high as 14.26% to reach an intraday high of ₹107.98. This increase was driven by the announcement of the launch of its integrated township project, "New Amritsar," by its subsidiaries. The "New Amritsar" project is located on GT Road, approximately 12 minutes from the Golden Temple, and sprawls across 260 acres, with 127 acres slated for development in the initial phase with an investment exceeding ₹1,000 crore. This project is part of Omaxe's broader strategy to expand its presence in Punjab, where it already has operations in six cities, including New Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Patiala, Derabassi, Amritsar, and Bathinda. The company is funding the first phase of the "New Amritsar" project through internal accruals and has secured financial closure for it. They may also consider additional funding options for subsequent phases.
