The 83rd Golden Globe Awards witnessed a delightful Bollywood-K-pop crossover as Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Blackpink's Lisa (Lalisa Manobal) graced the stage as presenters. The two stars presented the award for Best Actor in a Television Drama at the ceremony held in Beverly Hills.
The appearance of Chopra and Lisa together generated considerable excitement, marking a significant moment between two of the world's largest entertainment industries. The duo walked hand in hand onto the stage, radiating poise and smiles, immediately captivating the audience. Backstage, they shared light-hearted moments, laughing and chatting before their presentation.
"We are honored to present the award for the best performance by a male actor in a TV series drama,” Chopra Jonas announced. Lisa added, “The nominees this year took us on unforgettable journeys with their performances". They engaged in playful banter while introducing the nominees, creating a buzz among the audience. Chopra quipped, "Some had us flying across the solar system with rebels,” and Lisa followed, “Others took us to magical faraway lands".
The nominees for the award were Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Diego Luna (Andor), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance), and Noah Wyle (The Pitt). Ultimately, Noah Wyle won the Golden Globe for his performance in The Pitt.
Before presenting, Priyanka Chopra Jonas stunned on the red carpet in a custom Dior Haute Couture gown by Jonathan Anderson, complemented by elegant Bvlgari jewels. She was accompanied by her husband, Nick Jonas. Chopra offered insights into her upcoming projects, including her production venture, The Bluff, which is set to release on February 25th on Prime Video. "It's my first as a producer. I get to play a female pirate from the 1800s — it's a bloody, rated 'R' movie, and it's going to be a lot of fun," she told the Associated Press.
The couple also shared a glimpse into their personal lives, discussing their shared viewing habits. Nick Jonas admitted, "It's been such a great year in film and TV. We don't really have guilty pleasures — everything's fair game.” Priyanka laughed, “No, we can watch whatever you like. I watch mine on my iPad".
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is also set to star in S.S. Rajamouli's Varanasi as Mandakini, alongside Mahesh Babu, with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing a key role.
The 2026 Golden Globes also marked the introduction of a new category, Best Podcast, and featured other stars like Selena Gomez and Glen Powell on the red carpet.
