Jets Goalie Prospect Milic Earns Spot in the 2026 American Hockey League All-Star Classic

Winnipeg Jets prospect Thomas Milic has been named to the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic roster, as announced by the Manitoba Moose on Thursday. The 22-year-old goaltender, a fifth-round pick (151st overall) by the Jets in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, will represent the Moose at the annual All-Star event.

Milic, born in Coquitlam, British Columbia, has had an eventful season. He made his NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets on November 29, 2025, against the Carolina Hurricanes, where he saved 30 of 34 shots in a 4-1 loss. He has appeared in three games with the Jets this season.

Prior to his NHL debut, Milic showcased his skills with the Manitoba Moose, where he and fellow Jets prospect, Domenic DiVincentiis, have been splitting crease duties. In 15 games with the Moose this season, Milic has posted an 8-4-2 record with one shutout, a 2.57 goals-against average (GAA), and a .902 save percentage.

Milic's journey to the AHL All-Star Classic is a testament to his dedication and development since being drafted by the Jets. He has consistently demonstrated his winning capabilities at various levels, from the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Western Hockey League (WHL) to Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. Before turning pro, Milic led the Seattle Thunderbirds to the 2023 WHL Championship. During that season, he recorded a 27-3-1 record, a 2.08 goals-against average, and a .928 save percentage in the regular season, followed by a 16-3 record, a 1.95 GAA, and a .933 save percentage in the playoffs. He was also named MVP of the WHL playoffs.

In his first professional season, 2023-24, Milic split time between the Manitoba Moose of the AHL and the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL. With the Moose, he played 33 games, achieving a 19-9-2 record, a 2.72 GAA, and a .900 save percentage. He also started both Calder Cup Playoff games for the Moose that season. With the Admirals, he went 11-3-2 with two shutouts, a 2.45 GAA, and a .908 save percentage and was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week.

While Milic's sophomore season in 2024-25 saw some struggles, with a 3.44 GAA and a 5-12-4 record in the AHL, he also showed resilience with a strong performance in the ECHL, posting a 1.82 GAA and a .935 save percentage. He continued his success into the ECHL postseason, helping the Admirals to the second round with a 1.61 GAA and a .945 save percentage.

Overall, Milic has played in 69 career AHL games, recording a 32-25-7 record with a 2.91 GAA, an .893 save percentage, and two shutouts. His selection to the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic is a recognition of his progress and potential within the Winnipeg Jets organization.
