The makers of "Aakasamlo Oka Tara," starring Dulquer Salmaan, have officially announced Satvika Veeravalli as the lead actress. The film, directed by Pavan Sadineni, is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam, under Lightbox Media, and presented by Swapna Cinema and Geetha Arts.
The movie was formally announced on July 28, 2024, coinciding with Dulquer Salmaan's 41st birthday. A puja ceremony was held in Hyderabad on February 2, 2025, to mark the beginning of the film's production.
"Aakasamlo Oka Tara" is anticipated to be a blend of drama and romance, showcasing Dulquer Salmaan in a complex lead role. A glimpse of the film released on July 28, 2025, Dulquer Salmaan's birthday, revealed the actor in a middle-class avatar, traveling in a train.
Pavan Sadineni, who has directed films like "Prema Ishq Kaadhal" and the web series "Dayaa," is directing "Aakasamlo Oka Tara". The film's technical crew includes Sujith Sarang as the cinematographer, Praveen K. L. as the editor, and Shwetha Sabu Cyril as the production designer. G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music for the film.
"Aakasamlo Oka Tara" is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2025 in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. The title "Aakasamlo Oka Tara" which translates to "A star in the sky," is derived from a song of the same name from the 1986 Telugu film "Simhasanam".
