Border 2: Sunny Deol's Film Earns Over Rs 400 Crore Globally, Despite Sharp Earnings Dip on Day 13

The Sunny Deol-starrer Border 2 has crossed the ₹400 crore mark in worldwide box office collections, reaching ₹435.90 crore on its thirteenth day. The film, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Varun Dhawan, has however, experienced a slowdown in its earnings during the second week.

On Wednesday, its thirteenth day in theaters, Border 2 earned ₹4.88 crore at the box office. This brought the film's total domestic collection to ₹319.98 crore.

While Border 2 benefitted from the Republic Day holiday window, its momentum has slowed. The film earned ₹224.25 crore net in its first week, including ₹59 crore on Republic Day.

Despite the recent slowdown, Border 2 has become the highest-grossing film in Varun Dhawan's career.

The movie's overall Hindi occupancy on Wednesday was 8.83%. After 13 days, the film's overseas collection stands at around $5.8 million, with the global haul at ₹435.90 crore.

Initial comparisons were made between Border 2 and Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, with Border 2 initially staying ahead. However, it couldn't maintain the same momentum and eventually fell behind. Dhurandhar had earned ₹437.25 crore within 13 days of release.

The film is expected to wrap its second week with a net of around ₹270 crore. While performing well on weekends, Border 2's weekday performance has been ordinary.

According to Sacnilk, Border 2 earned around ₹4.15 Cr India net on its thirteenth day for all languages. The film performed well in its first 12 days, earning an estimated ₹286.75 Cr India net. Sacnilk reports the total collection now to be Rs 290.75 crore.

Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh.

With the release of Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta's Vadh 2 on February 6th, Border 2 is expected to face more competition, potentially impacting its box office performance.
