The company's expansion in Pune includes the addition of a third building expected to be completed in three years. This expansion is accompanied by plans to nearly triple the headcount to approximately 9,000 employees by 2030. Currently, the Hinjawadi facility in Pune houses around 3,500 employees.
The company has a strong presence across R&D, services, and sales in India and has been expanding in all these areas. Dassault Systèmes has also established an R&D facility at its Pune campus to foster innovation in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. According to Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO of Dassault Systemes Solution Lab, Pune is the company's second-largest campus after Paris and significantly contributes to global research and development, industry services, and other functions.
In recent years, Dassault Systèmes has experienced double-digit growth in India, driven by strong domestic demand across manufacturing, infrastructure, and life sciences sectors. Deepak NG, Managing Director, Dassault Systemes India, noted that India contributes significantly to the company's global revenue. The company is witnessing increased technology adoption in the manufacturing sector, with organizations seeking well-established applications to optimize production plants and facilitate machine interaction.
In 2022, Dassault Systemes increased its India headcount by over 25% and intends to double it in the next five years. The company has over 3,000 employees in India across various functions, with 700 employees added in the two years leading up to 2022.
