Bollywood was abuzz yesterday as several stars aligned at designer Vikram Phadnis's 35th-anniversary fashion gala in Mumbai. The event, celebrating "Vintage India," saw Salman Khan as the showstopper, but the evening held more than just a ramp walk.
Salman Khan graced the runway in a regal black silk sherwani-style jacket paired with a black kurta-pyjama, marking a rare appearance for the actor at a fashion event. This appearance comes after receiving Y+ security following multiple death threats. Khan's presence as showstopper for his long-time friend Vikram Phadnis was a highlight, but the reunions he had with some of his former co-stars truly captured the night's essence.
Among the attendees were actresses Sushmita Sen and Bipasha Basu, both of whom shared memorable moments with Khan. Khan warmly greeted Sen, offering her a hand as she cheered him on, and the two shared a heartfelt hug. This reunion evoked nostalgia among fans, reminding them of the duo's on-screen chemistry in films like "Biwi No.1" and "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya". A clip also surfaced of Khan sharing a light moment with Basu backstage.
Bipasha Basu shared glimpses of Salman's ramp walk on social media. Many celebrities like Ritesh Deshmukh, Suhana Khan, and Malaika Arora's mother were present at the show.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, a video of Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, and Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, dancing together at Manish Malhotra's Diwali bash went viral. The two, who made their acting debut together in Zoya Akhtar's "The Archies" in 2023, were seen grooving to the popular track "Kajra Re". Fashion influencer Sakshi Sindwani shared the video on Instagram, which quickly gained traction.
Khan looked stunning in a purple saree, while Nanda sported a black kurta-pyjama. Shweta Bachchan, Agastya’s mother, also joined them on the dance floor. The choice of "Kajra Re" added a special touch, as the song originally featured Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai.
The duo have been at the center of dating rumors for some time, and this public display of camaraderie has further fueled speculation. Neither Khan nor Nanda have confirmed their relationship status.
In other news, Salman Khan is reportedly planning a musical comeback and is set to record a brand new single after wrapping up his film "Battle of Galwan". The movie is targeting a 2026 release. Khan will portray the role of martyr Colonel Bikkumala Santosh Babu.
