Sonu Sood and Son Invest in Panvel: Acquisition of Rs 1.05 Crore Land for Future Ventures.

Bollywood actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood, along with his son Eshaan Sood, have recently invested in a land parcel in Panvel, near Mumbai. The deal, registered in October 2025, involves a purchase of 0.065 hectares (approximately 777 square yards) of land worth ₹1.05 crore in Shirdon, Panvel. Property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards indicate that the transaction incurred a stamp duty of ₹6.3 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000.

This acquisition highlights a growing trend of Bollywood celebrities investing in real estate in emerging micro-markets, driven by the potential for lifestyle upgrades and capital appreciation. Panvel's strategic location along the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Panvel-Karjat railway line makes it an attractive option for both investors and end-users. The area's connectivity is further enhanced by ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Navi Mumbai International Airport and the Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link), solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

In a separate transaction, Eshaan Sood also purchased an apartment in Andheri West, Mumbai, for ₹2.6 crore in August 2025. This apartment has a RERA carpet area of 900 sq ft and a built-up area of 1,080 sq ft. The transaction included a stamp duty of ₹15.6 lakh and registration fees of ₹30,000.

Sonu Sood's real estate dealings aren't limited to acquisitions. In August 2025, he sold a luxury apartment in the Lokhandwala Minerva area of Mumbai for ₹8.10 crore. Purchased in 2012 for ₹5.10 crore, the 1,247 sq ft unit with two car parking spots yielded a profit of ₹3 crore. This sale underscores the robustness of the luxury property market in South Mumbai and Sood's strategic approach to real estate investments.

Sonu Sood's real estate portfolio includes a 4-BHK apartment in Andheri, Mumbai, valued at around ₹20 crore. He also owns eight properties in Juhu, comprising six residential and two commercial spaces. Additionally, Sood possesses a house in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, and an ancestral property in Moga, Punjab, which was rebuilt in 2014.

Sonu Sood began his Bollywood journey with "Shaheed-E-Azam" in 2002, portraying Bhagat Singh. He gained widespread recognition for his roles in popular films like "Dabangg" (2010) and "Simmba" (2018). Beyond his acting career, Sood is celebrated for his humanitarian work, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With an estimated net worth of ₹140 crore, Sonu Sood's income streams include acting, business ventures, real estate, brand endorsements, and investments. He owns Shakti Sagar Productions and co-founded Explurger, a travel-based social media platform. Sood’s car collection includes a Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, a BMW 7-Series, and an Audi Q7.
