A tragic incident occurred in Bengaluru where a man was allegedly killed by his co-worker following an argument over a light switch. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday at the office of Data Digital Bank, a company involved in storing movie shooting videos, located within the Govindraj Nagar police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Bheemesh Babu, originally from Chitradurga district. The accused is 24-year-old Somala Vamshi, a native of Vijayawada. Both men were employees of Data Digital Bank and regularly stayed overnight at the office premises.
According to police reports, the two men got into an argument around 1:30 am regarding switching off the light. The dispute escalated, and in a fit of rage, Vamshi allegedly struck Babu on the forehead with a dumbbell, resulting in his death at the scene.
Following the incident, Vamshi surrendered himself to the Govindraj Nagar police station. Police have registered a murder case against him, and he has been arrested. Further investigations are currently underway.
