Yash Raj Films' upcoming spy thriller, "Alpha," is generating buzz as the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, and Manushi Chhillar is reportedly the latest addition to the cast, joining Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. With this addition, Aditya Chopra is officially expanding the YRF Spy Universe with a female-led agent squad, offering a fresh twist on the traditionally male-dominated spy genre.

Following the success of Salman Khan's "Tiger," Hrithik Roshan's "Kabir," and Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan," "Alpha" will be the first female-driven installment in the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail.

While there's no official confirmation from YRF regarding Manushi Chhillar's role, reports suggest she will be an essential agent in Alia Bhatt's team. Industry insiders hint that her character will involve espionage, thrilling acrobatics, and a morally ambiguous approach, a departure from her previous roles. Some reports suggest that Manushi's character would do acrobatics.

The film is expected to kick off a new phase in Aditya Chopra's espionage saga. Shiv Rawail is said to be crafting a narrative that blends action with emotional depth. Alia Bhatt, is starring in the film, while Sharvari Wagh has been undergoing intensive preparation, including gun combat training, to prep for the role.

Manushi Chhillar's addition to "Alpha" is seen by some as a significant move in her career. While her previous films, "Samrat Prithviraj" and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," didn't fare well at the box office, the YRF Spy Universe could provide the ideal platform for her to reinvent herself.

"Alpha" is slated to begin filming in mid-2025. The YRF Spy Universe currently includes "Pathaan," "Tiger," and "War". "Alpha" is expected to release after "War 2".

Other cast members include Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

"Alpha" is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025.
