Meerut Murder: Police Chargesheet Reveals Premeditation, Denies Black Magic Claims in Cold-Blooded Killing.

The chargesheet has been filed in the gruesome murder case of Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer, in Meerut, revealing a chilling tale of premeditation and betrayal. Police investigations have concluded that the murder was a planned, cold-blooded crime, dismissing earlier suspicions of black magic or occult involvement.

Muskan Rastogi, Saurabh's wife, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, are the prime accused in the case. The investigation reveals that Muskan and Sahil were having an affair, and they feared Saurabh would end their relationship and drug use. Muskan masterminded the murder plot as far back as November, using manipulative tactics to involve Sahil. She exploited Sahil's superstitious beliefs by creating fake Snapchat accounts and impersonating his deceased mother, convincing him that Saurabh was "destined for death at Muskan's hands".

On the night of March 3, Muskan allegedly sedated Saurabh by mixing sleeping pills into his dinner. Once he was semi-conscious, she and Sahil stabbed him to death. The couple then dismembered Saurabh's body into approximately 15 pieces. They packed the body parts into a large blue drum and sealed it with cement to mask the odor.

After the heinous act, Muskan and Sahil attempted to cover their tracks. They hired a taxi and traveled to Himachal Pradesh, staying in hotels in Kasol, Shimla, and Manali. They introduced themselves as husband and wife. Muskan also used Saurabh's phone to post updates on his social media accounts, creating the illusion that he was still alive and well.

However, their deception unraveled when Muskan confessed to her parents on March 18, who then took her to the police station. Police arrested Muskan and Sahil, and recovered Saurabh's remains from their rented home in the Brahmpuri neighborhood of Meerut.

The police investigation has gathered substantial evidence against Muskan and Sahil. They have recovered the murder weapon, recorded witness statements, and collected forensic evidence. The police also investigated the couple's activities in Himachal Pradesh, gathering further evidence to solidify their case. Authorities are planning to pursue a trial in a fast-track court to ensure a swift conviction, reflecting the gravity of the crime and the desire for justice.

The motive behind the murder appears to be a combination of Muskan's affair with Sahil and financial issues. Police are scrutinizing financial transactions, including a significant amount of money transferred to Muskan and her mother's accounts. There are also allegations that Muskan used Saurabh's money to purchase property and an iPhone.
