Air India is set to resume its services on key routes, including those connecting Jammu and Srinagar, starting May 13, 2025. This move follows the removal of the NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) by the Aviation Ministry, which had led to the temporary closure of several airports in North, West, and Central India. The resumption of flights is expected to provide significant relief to passengers who have been waiting for services to normalize.

The airline will progressively reinstate flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot. Bookings for these sectors are already open.

Air India Express will also restart operations on May 13, with initial routes including Hindon-Bengaluru, Jammu-Delhi, Jammu-Srinagar, and Srinagar-Delhi. The Hindon-Mumbai route is scheduled to resume on May 14. Further reinstatement of flights, including international services from Amritsar, is anticipated from May 15.

An Air India Express spokesperson stated that the airline is gradually resuming flight operations from previously closed airports following the removal of the NOTAM. Passengers are advised to check the Air India Express website or use the AI-powered chatbot 'Tia' for the latest information.

Other airlines, including IndiGo and SpiceJet, are also resuming their flight operations to and from Jammu and Srinagar. IndiGo operated one of the first flights after the ceasefire, 6E 2247 from Delhi to Jammu. The airline also resumed flights between Delhi-Chandigarh and Delhi-Amritsar and plans to add extra flights to clear the passenger backlog. SpiceJet has also announced that it is reopening its operations to and from the airports which were closed.

The temporary closure of 32 airports in North, West, and Central India had been in effect since May 7, due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The reopening of these airports and the resumption of flight operations are expected to ease travel for many passengers.

Air India has been offering non-stop flights from Jammu to Srinagar. The cheapest upcoming Air India flight between Jammu and Srinagar is on May 13, 2025.

Travelers can book flights from various cities to Jammu and Srinagar. Popular routes to Jammu include Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. Similarly, flights to Srinagar are available from Delhi, Mumbai, and other major cities.
