Several regions across India are experiencing a diverse range of weather conditions, prompting alerts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While some states are bracing for heatwaves, others are preparing for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and dust storms. These weather patterns are expected to persist until May 18, 2025, and in some cases, even longer.

West Rajasthan is expected to experience heatwave conditions from May 15 to May 19, while Uttar Pradesh is under a similar warning from May 15 to May 18. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are expected to get isolated heavy rainfall. Interior Karnataka will witness similar conditions until May 19, while Kerala and Mahe are likely to experience heavy rainfall between May 18 and 19.

West Rajasthan will also see dusty weather until May 18. Delhi-NCR is expected to experience cloudy skies and sporadic rainfall between May 16 and 18, with maximum temperatures hovering between 39°C and 42°C. Thunderstorm activity and gusty winds of up to 50 kmph are possible.
Regional Forecasts and Advisories:
The IMD has urged people to stay indoors during lightning activity and avoid vulnerable waterlogged areas. Farmers are also advised to monitor weather updates closely and plan agricultural activities accordingly.
