A significant disruption has occurred on the set of Ranveer Singh's upcoming film, "Dhurandhar," currently being filmed in Leh, Ladakh. Over 100 crew members were hospitalized on Sunday, August 17th, following a suspected case of food poisoning. Initial reports varied, but it's now indicated that approximately 120 individuals required medical attention.

The incident occurred after nearly 600 members of the film crew consumed a meal on location. Shortly after, numerous individuals began experiencing severe symptoms, including abdominal pain, vomiting, and headaches. Prompt action was taken, and those affected were immediately transported to the Sajal Narbu Memorial (SNM) Hospital in Leh for treatment. Doctors at the hospital confirmed it to be a case of mass food poisoning.

A senior doctor at SNM Hospital stated that the hospital staff managed the sudden influx of patients efficiently. Local police also assisted in managing the crowded emergency room to prevent further panic. The patients are now in stable condition, and the majority have been discharged after receiving the necessary medical care.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the food poisoning. Food samples have been taken and sent to a laboratory for analysis to ascertain the source of the contamination and establish accountability.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and hygiene standards at large-scale film shooting locations, particularly in remote and sensitive regions like Leh. Questions are being asked about the quality of food and water provided to the crew members.

"Dhurandhar" is directed by Aditya Dhar and features a star-studded cast including Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. Ranveer Singh is currently filming for the movie. Videos have circulated showing Ranveer Singh on set in a "Pakistani Village". The film's production schedule is expected to be 50 days.

The incident has temporarily halted the film's shoot. It remains to be seen how this disruption will affect the overall production timeline.
