Demi Lovato, the celebrated singer and actor, has officially tied the knot with her partner, Jordan "Jutes" Lutes, in a beautiful ceremony held in California on Sunday, May 25th. The wedding, which took place at approximately 4 PM PT, was an intimate affair with close family and friends in attendance. Even the couple's three beloved dogs participated in the joyous occasion.
For her walk down the aisle, Lovato, 32, wore a stunning custom Vivienne Westwood gown. The pearl white dress was crafted from heavy silk satin fabric and featured a corset bodice, perfectly accentuating her curves. She completed the look with a cathedral-style veil made from ivory tulle. According to Vogue, the dress was the result of meticulous planning and five fittings that took place in Los Angeles, with the Vivienne Westwood couture team traveling from London to ensure a flawless fit. Lovato expressed her admiration for Vivienne Westwood's designs, noting how the silhouettes complement the body's curves and the designer's signature use of corsets. The gown's romantic design drew inspiration from 18th-century high society and Greek sculptural works, featuring eye-catching draping at the neckline and waist.
Later in the evening, for the reception, the bride changed into another exquisite Vivienne Westwood creation. This second dress was an ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top, adorned with broken pearls cascading from the neckline. Lovato shared with Vogue that the pearl detailing and draping were special elements, each strand attached by hand, making it a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
The wedding festivities were orchestrated by renowned event planner Mindy Weiss. The wedding party included Lovato's sisters, Dallas Lovato and Madison de la Garza, as well as her close friend and former "Sonny with a Chance" co-star, Matthew Scott Montgomery. The celebration was preceded by a rehearsal dinner, where the wedding party enjoyed an intimate meal after a run-through of the ceremony.
Lovato and Lutes, 34, first crossed paths in January 2022 during a writing session for Lovato's album "Holy Fvck." Their relationship blossomed from friendship to romance, and they made their red carpet debut in February 2023. Lutes proposed in December 2023 with a custom-made pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring from Material Good.
In the months leading up to their wedding, the couple expressed their excitement and joy. On Instagram this past February, Lovato wrote, "Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life, and I have you to thank for that.” Lutes echoed this sentiment, stating that they were taking their time with wedding planning to savor every moment of their engagement. He emphasized that they wanted to avoid the stress often associated with weddings and instead focus on enjoying each step of their journey together.
