Starting June 1, 2025, commercial LPG cylinder prices have been reduced by Rs 24, providing a welcome relief to businesses across India. This price revision marks the second consecutive monthly reduction, following a Rs 14.50 cut in May, offering further respite from volatile operational costs.
The revised rate brings the retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi down to Rs 1723.50. This adjustment is expected to benefit restaurants, hotels, and small-scale industries that rely heavily on commercial LPG for their daily operations, specifically for cooking and heating purposes. These businesses have welcomed this price cut, viewing it as a significant operational lifeline.
In addition to the LPG price cut, oil companies have also reduced Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices by 4.4%. This translates to a reduction of approximately Rs 3,954.38 per kilolitre, bringing the new price to Rs 85,486.80 per kilolitre. This move offers substantial relief to the airline industry, where fuel costs constitute a major portion (around 30%) of their overall expenses. Airlines such as Air India and IndiGo are expected to benefit significantly from this reduction.
This recent price revision follows an earlier reduction in ATF prices on April 1, when prices were slashed by 6.15%, or Rs 5,870.54 per kilolitre. These consistent reductions in fuel prices reflect an ongoing effort to alleviate financial pressures on businesses and industries grappling with fluctuating input costs.
