Sunjay Kapur, who was the chairperson of Sona Comstar, passed away on June 12, 2025, due to cardiac issues, triggering a complex legal battle over his inheritance.

On the day of Raksha Bandhan, Mandhira posted a throwback picture on Instagram featuring herself, Sunjay, and their mother, Rani Kapur.
