In a sharp critique of Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi stated that while India is actively pursuing free trade agreements and demonstrating global economic leadership, Pakistan is engaged in what she termed a "free terrorism arrangement."
Addressing the Indian diaspora in London, Chaturvedi, a member of a multi-party delegation dispatched to 33 global capitals in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, highlighted the stark contrast between India's global engagement and Pakistan's continued support for terrorist activities. She pointed out that as India hosted the G20, Pakistan was effectively hosting the "T20 – the top 20 terrorists of the world."
Chaturvedi emphasized that Pakistan's policy of harboring terrorists is not a recent phenomenon, citing the example of Osama bin Laden, who was not only found hiding in Pakistan but also allegedly "actively financed, aided, trained, supported, and hidden" from the United States, a supposed ally. She urged people to watch documentaries about the Al Qaeda leader's discovery in Pakistan, highlighting the duplicity of the Pakistani state.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader underscored India's commitment to trade, economy, and commerce through free trade agreements with countries like the UK and Australia, with potential agreements with the European Union and the USA on the horizon. In contrast, she asserted that Pakistan is focused on promoting a "free terrorist arrangement across the world," a point she emphasized needs to be exposed.
Referring to the recent strikes conducted by Indian armed forces under Operation Sindoor, Chaturvedi stated that over 100 terrorists were killed, potentially preventing numerous terror attacks worldwide. She emphasized that the world should thank the Indian armed forces for their actions.
Chaturvedi also recalled the Pahalgam terror attack, where victims were asked about their religion before being killed, which she believes was an attempt to divide the nation. However, she asserted that India stands united in its diversity. She also noted the united front presented by India's Muslim population, who stood in solidarity against terrorism.
The delegation that Chaturvedi is a part of is led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and includes senior parliamentarians. This initiative follows the launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7, prompted by the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The purpose of the delegation's visit to 33 global capitals is to convey India's message of zero tolerance against terrorism.
