In a recent operation in Alipur, Delhi, the Delhi Police apprehended a shooter associated with the notorious Bhau gang following an encounter. The incident led to the recovery of weapons and a stolen motorcycle, marking a significant breakthrough in the authorities' efforts to curb gang-related activities in the region.

The encounter took place in Alipur, where a police team cornered Deepak, identified as an active shooter within the Bhau gang. The confrontation resulted in Deepak sustaining injuries, leading to his immediate arrest.

During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered a stolen motorcycle, believed to have been used in various criminal activities by the gang. Additionally, a pistol and cartridges were seized, which were reportedly used in a past crime in the Ghazipur area. These recoveries underscore the gang's involvement in multiple offenses and the threat they pose to public safety.

The Bhau gang has been under increased scrutiny due to its alleged involvement in several high-profile criminal activities across Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. Himanshu Bhau, believed to be operating his network from Portugal, is on the list of most-wanted gangsters.

In July 2024, three sharp shooters working for the Bhau gang were gunned down in a police encounter. The shooters were wanted by the Delhi and Haryana police with rewards of Rs 1 lakh each, allegedly shooting for ransom. They were involved in several extortion cases, including the shooting at a Burger King outlet in Delhi, firing at a sweets shop in Gohana, and killing a liquor merchant in Murthal.

In November 2024, the Delhi Police arrested another shooter involved in firing incidents in Nangloi and Alipur. The shooter, Ramniwas alias Mowgli, sustained a gunshot injury on his leg during a brief exchange of fire with the police. He and two other accused had opened fire as part of their extortion scheme, leaving a note with the names of gangsters Jatinder Mann alias Gogi and Kuldeep Fajje.

These operations highlight the Delhi Police's commitment to tackling gang-related crime and maintaining law and order in the city. The recent apprehension of the Bhau gang shooter in Alipur, along with the recovery of weapons and a stolen bike, is a testament to their ongoing efforts.
