The trailer for "Kuberaa," starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, has dropped, offering a glimpse into a high-stakes drama about wealth, power, and morality. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film is set to release on June 20th and is already generating considerable buzz among fans and critics alike.

The two-minute, thirty-eight-second trailer plunges viewers into a world of financial scams, contrasting the lives of the rich and the poor. Dhanush plays a beggar, Deva, who seems to understand the value of money more than anyone else. Nagarjuna portrays a character named Deepak, seemingly a chartered accountant, described as a strategist disillusioned by the corrupt elite, who believes that in this country, money and power work, not ethics or justice. Their paths intertwine in a narrative that explores greed, ambition, and the moral dilemmas faced by individuals caught in the pursuit of wealth. Rashmika Mandanna's role appears to be pivotal, binding the chaos and acting as a critical bridge between the characters, though her motivations remain shrouded in mystery. Jim Sarbh embodies a suave yet sinister tycoon orchestrating political lobbying around a major oil deal, adding another layer of complexity to the power dynamics at play.

Several reviews highlight Dhanush's performance as a major draw, with some predicting a National Award-worthy portrayal. He appears to be a cunning and unconventional character who challenges the status quo. Some reports suggest that Dhanush's character outsmarts Nagarjuna's, rerouting a fortune for himself and becoming an unexpected threat. The trailer establishes his character arc with finesse, showcasing his ability to command attention even while playing a beggar. Nagarjuna's character seems to have a grey side. He may be supportive of Dhanush, but he also seems to be operating in the shadows.

The technical aspects of the trailer have also garnered praise. Devi Sri Prasad's music enhances the serious tone of the film, while Niketh Bommi's visuals contribute to a slick and high-contrast aesthetic. Overall, the trailer promises a gripping social drama with commercial heft, balancing emotional depth and mainstream appeal. It hints at a layered narrative with twists and turns, building genuine curiosity about the plot.

"Kuberaa" marks Sekhar Kammula's return after a four-year gap, and it seems to be a departure from his familiar feel-good territory. The film is produced by Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. There are also reports that the film has a lengthy runtime of three hours and two minutes and has been given a U/A certificate by the censor board. After its theatrical run, it is expected to be available on Amazon Prime Video.

The film will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. "Kuberaa" faces a clash with Aamir Khan's "Sitaare Zameen Par" at the box office. With its ensemble cast, intriguing plot, and strong technical elements, "Kuberaa" carries the weight of reviving box-office hope for the Telugu film industry.
